Despair – The doom of Denethor, and other of like mind.

by Jan 31, 2003Poetry

Weary of toil and of pain,
Of having nothing to gain.
Weary of thunder and rain
Weary of keeping hope in vain.

Tired of sorrow and woe,
Of having nowhere to go
Tired of fighting a foe
Whose strength with each moment will grow

Unable to go or stay
To keep enemies away
Unable to greet the day,
But only in darkness to stray.
