daughter of kings…

by Apr 9, 2004Poetry

gleaming in the sun, strong willed
with eyes of fire and skillful hand
courage in face of battle, fearless
a beloved face on a strange land

swift as the wind moving hard
droving towards foes in haste
to protect ones love and kin
sword unsheated no time to waste

a colden heart in face of death
no fear is seen no feeling felt
raise thy shield and smite thy foe
with such strength and power dealt

shield of the one whose arms withstood
destroyed the one where no man dared do
a child so lovely and yet hard as steel
daughter of kings, fearless, yet sorrowful too…
