Come the Day – Hobbit Folk Song

by Aug 26, 2002Poetry

The Shire, home to the hobbits.
Sing, come the day!
Sing, come the day!
And chase my every worry away.
Sing, come the day!
Sing, come the day!
Tell me that the rain is gone.

The sun
Rising in the sky high above us so blue,
We rise to greet another morning
Together
Another day with you.

Sing, come the day!
Sing, come the day!
And chase my every worry away.
Sing, come the day!
Sing, come the day!
Tell me that the rain is gone.

Some say
That, when eagles fly high above us so true,
That they are, in fact, thinking of us
Together
Another day with you.

Sing, come the day!
Sing, come the day!
And chase my every worry away.
Sing, come the day!
Sing, come the day!
Tell me that the rain is gone.

Tell me that the rain is gone, my friend.
Oh, tell me that this day will never end!

Sing, come the day!
Sing, come the day!
And chase my every worry away.
Sing, come the day!
Sing, come the day!
Tell me that the rain is gone.

And when
The sun says goodbye to make way for the moon,
I know that we will be together
Tomorrow
Another day with you.

Another day with you.
