Ever has evil plagued my steps,
And oh, from it I long to flee
Yet bound to this, I find myself
And my will to fight has drained from me.

In pain I linger without a reason,
To carry on this life I lead
A shadow am I, amidst the night
I fear my soul shall never freed.

Now all is lost, that once was there
As the wind that comes and goes
My chance to follow the dead to rest
Has passed, and now I envy those.

For never shall I find such peace
Darkness has taken me far away
Oh how I wish to know, to feel
Just to return to my old ways.

My star has fallen to shadows,
Ever present but none too fair
An enternity to pass, withered and old
Always watching, but never there…
