Battle Song
the mouth of sauron

Here on the battle ground,
Where the dead may be found,
Dead men’s wishes are asked,
And by the wounded the plea masked,
And by sword point judgement passed.

I plunge her in,
That cold hard steel.
She bites hard,
She bites fast,
She bites deep,
She grates on bone,
Like steel on stone.

Battle sounds crowd the air,
Sword on shield and flowing hair,
Spear on mail, life force fail,
Burning, hungry eyes filled with glee,
While others just wish to flee.

I plunge her in,
That cold hard steel.
She bites hard,
She bites fast,
She bites deep,
She grates on bone,

Like steel on stone.

Cold steel she stares at me,
Cold steel wants to deliver me,
To Mandos hall a dead sea,
The dark halls of the dead,
Where I will lay my head.

I plunge her in,
That cold hard steel.
She bites hard,
She bites fast,
She bites deep,
She grates on bone,
Like steel on stone.

I look into their eyes,
I desire to see their surprise,
And then they die,
I am Helazzar,
And now I lay you down to die.
