Arwen’s Tears – a lament for Aragorn

by Jan 22, 2003Poetry

Aragorn, oh Aragorn
My heart doth weep for you.
When I sleep, it’s you I
Dream of. My thoughts
All dwell on you.
But now you’re gone.
I am alone.
You are like a lost voice in the wind.
A wave in the sea.
A dying star in the sky.
Never more will I
See your kind smile,
Your bravery,
Your love for me.
All is gone, so my heart
Weeps painfully. I will never
Forget you, my Aragorn.
Namaarie, brave king, the one who truly loved me.
