Arwen says goodbye to Elrond – A Poem

by Feb 26, 2003Poetry

Her long black hair lay upon her ivory face,
And her father again saw her vision of grace
Felt his deepest remorse, but naught could he do
To keep his daughter, save linger too,
In the deepest of darkness in mortal lands.
For her fate now, he knew, was not in his hands.

She lifted her face, and beheld his deep deep eyes,
Aand kissed heher lithe hand.
Away yonder they beheld the proud city of White
and hand in hand the together walked upon the deepest night
