Arwen & Eowyn

by May 1, 2004Poetry

Two women different as night & day
both loved the Dunedain,
raven haired Arwen the beautiful Elf
in any land her radiance was unsurpassed.

Two women different as night & day
both loved the Dunedain,
fair Eowyn was brought up determined and strong
to fight beside Kingsmen she felt she belonged.

Two women different as night & day
both loved the Dunedain,
Arwen appeared in his dreams with words of hope
a gentle whisper of kindred spirits.

Two women different as night & day
both loved the Dunedain,
Eowyn fell hard it was love at first sight
Aragorn had unknowingly captured her heart.

Two women different as night & day
both loved the Dunedain,
why do you go the the Paths Of The Dead
and leave behind those that love you she said.

It is but a whisper and thought that you love
as he looked up at the stars above,
I cannot give you what you seek
there’s another that makes my heart complete.

It is Arwen I love heart and soul
our destiny was written long ago,
I will soon take her to be my wife
and keep her with me for the rest of my life.

Remember this he whispered
we will always be friends,
your young and strong
a cage will not be your end.

Two women different as night & day
both loved the Dunedain,
In time Eowyn’s love for him passed
Faramir’s heart would find her, finally love at last.

Arwen & Eowyn two different souls
but for the outcome had the same goals,
defeating the enemy the rise of men
Everlasting love…
the stars…
they both win.
