Arwen dies – Arwen

by Jan 20, 2003Poetry

Oh Evenstar how lost could thee be
Thy kin do now dwelleth ower the great sea
The King is now dead, your King is now dead.
What should surrender now to be
That which thy eyes did not then see?

Hath thee had thy taste of mortality,
Bitter or sweet was it’s hue? Reality
now is not as it seemed then, is it not as it was then.
Will thee walk under the starless night,
In the memory of lost eternal light?

‘Tis still long off ’till dawn should come
And bask in the rich sun
The one golden lands of Lorien,
Where thee shall sleep forever more, forever more
In thy dreams of the yore.
