Arluin’s Sorrow – A lament for Legolas from the one who loves him

by May 23, 2003Poetry

The golden glow that once surrounded you,
Has faded like a dying light,
The glorious sunrise that you once were,
Has now become a pitch black night.
You, my brave warrior
Were killed by the enemy’s blow
Now my fallen angel
To the heaven’s you did go
Though I grieve for you, my love
I know you would not wish it of me
For you’ve gone where you’ve oft wished to go
Gone away to the sea
The day’s and months shall pass,
Each in it’s normal way
And I swear that I will always love you
Forever and a day
