Are you resting Lord? – I shall sit beside thee and weep

by Mar 25, 2003Poetry

Are you resting there, sleeping forever
And I shall sit beside thee and weep,
As thy sprit that was so strong in life
Walks beyond the stars.
Here I shall remain, among the faded hue
Of my life, untill all my limbs are weary
And my heart may weep no more;
And I shall sit beside thee untill that day
That once was only a distant dream
As were the doors of Angbad,
Untill their reality was unfurled
In one moment.

Are you asleep, Lord, resting in yonder
In the days beyond the years?
For I shall cry here, untill no mor tears
Shall fall from my saddened eyes.

The evenstar doth wan, O Lord;
The evenstar doth wan.
