by Dec 2, 2003Poetry

Original verses by Roma Ryan
Additions by Banui Rochon

O môr henion i dhú
Ely siriar êl síla
Ai! Aníron Undómiel

From darkness I understand the night
Dreams flow, a star shines
Ah! I desire Evenstar

Glîr telia naerui an nin
Allû in elin ad silitha
Ai! Aníron Undómiel

Songs play sadly for me
Until the stars shine again
Ah! I desire Evenstar

Môr dhiniel al linn vain
Naeth luithiol vi galad vaig
Ai! Aníron Undómiel

Darkness silenced by fair song
Grief quenched in piercing light
Ah! I desire Evenstar

Estel ‘wain ad hirinnen
Vi i galad i dholtha i dhuath
Ai! Aníron Undómiel

Hope anew I have again found
Within the light that hides the shadows
Ah! I desire Evenstar

Annan idhrin o eriolui
Fîr go aglar hen
Ai! Aníron Undómiel

Long years of loneliness
Fade at this brilliance
Ah! I desire Evenstar

Fuin dagra mebi nin
Calad maetha dortho
Ai! Aníron Undómiel

Night strives to take me
Light battles to remain
Ah! I desire Evenstar

Tiro! Êl eria e môr
I ‘lír en êl luitha ‘úren
Ai! Aníron…

Look! A star rises out of the darkness
The song of the star enchants my heart
Ah! I desire…
