And hope is rembered to me – Merry at war

by Jun 6, 2003Poetry

The carrion fowl fly
Above the plains of war,
The Nazgul shreek
I hold my hope no more,
And the sword in my hand
It tumbles to the ground,
And I rember hope.

The men in the saddle
Ride hard upon the earth
Ere time all liveing things must die,
And all the gold and silver are not of any worth,
For the King and the peasent
Are the same,
And hope is remembered to me.

The shield maid is fighting
The monster in the sky,
And my heart seeks out the courage
That may well see me die,
And loyal faith and loyal friends
Are fighting at my side,
And hope is left within me.
