Along the river – A HAPPY poem!!!!

by Jun 17, 2003Poetry

I will thee on a journey,
The way the river winds,
Through trees and forets
Fields and plains,
The song of many minds.

Trust thy hand to me, my friend,
And float along this path,
And see the eagles
And see the sky,
And hear the water laugh.

Thou, I see, do wander here,
And walk the rivers side,
Come let my carry thee,
Let the water tumble
And feel the sea’s pull tide.

And every bend we meet
Shall hold a new suprise,
And I will bear ye yonder,
To the mountains, to the sea,
O come, o please I beg thee,
Trust thy time to me.
