A Warrior of Gondor – The legend of Gondor….

by Sep 13, 2003Poetry

Once long ago
A legend was told
Of a Gondorian warrior
With hair burnished gold
With eyes hard and cold
Like the moon in the night
But his spirit still lives
May it burn ever bright
His tale still lives on
Across the wide plains
He lived as a warrior,
And a warrior, was slain
The worth of a hero is measured,
Not by deeds or by might
But by steadfast strength
In the darkest of nights
Can you stand tall and firm
Through horrors untold
Like the long-ago warrior
With hair burnished gold?
Like the hero of legend
With eyes hard and cold.
