A vow – To Elendil upon the 7 year siege

by Apr 9, 2003Poetry

With my hand I shall see peace be
With my sword I shall defend thee
And with my heart I shall honour thy word
But the battle doth wait yet more.

With my eyes I shall behold thou
With my lips I shalt speak of how
With the sword, forged in the West
Thy soul shall triumph there.

With my hand, my King
My sword shalt yield.
With my eyes I shalt see thee win
With my mind I shall wander home,
No more time waiting here alone.
