A Lament for Arwen – Poetry

by Jan 16, 2003Poetry

This is only the second poem I’ve done so it won’t be very good

You could have had immorality Evenstar,
Joined your kin, had your love for Elessar forever green.
But like Luthien Tinuviel you chose mortality, both the bitter and the sweet,
Now you are mortal, never can you now depart to the Undying Lands. O Queen of Elves and of Men are you happy with your choice?
Arwen! Arwen Undomiel! Alas! Your light is dimmed for evermore!
