Hey he’s not Santa! But he’s coming on Christmas anyway!
We have received official word that the Lord of the Rings Trailer will be attached to 13 Days staring Kevin Costner. The movie will have a limited release in selected cities around the United States December 25, 2000 and will be released nation wide on January 12, 2001. One caveat: our official contact tells us that there is an off chance it may not appear with 13 Days (primarily because Peter Jackson may not be finished with the trailer yet).

What does this mean to you? If you are living in a major metropolitian city you will most likely get a chance to see the trailer on Christmas!

For the rest of you, it looks like Janurary 12, 2001 is your day.

For those of you who do not know what Thirteen Days is about, here is a short description.

Thirteen Days is an inside look at how the Kennedy Administration responded to the discovery of offensive Soviet weapons in Cuba, and the pressurized tug-of-war that ensued between the U.S. and the USSR during the thirteen days of the missile crisis. As viewed through the eyes of a Presidential aide (Costner), we see the heated battles and internal debate that raged within the U.S. government, between the oval office, the CIA, and Pentagon, as the nation stood on the brink of nuclear war.

Directed by Roger Donaldson and written by David Self, Thirteen Days is produced by Armyan Bernstein, Peter Almond, and Kevin Costner. The film also stars Bruce Greenwood and Steven Culp.
