From Medical Soap to the Big Screen
The Sunday Star Times – June 12, 2000
From medical soap to the big screen, former Shortland Street star Robyn Malcolm (nurse Ellen Crozier) is ecstatic about her role in Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings.
Robyn’s role as a village Celtic woman is relatively small. “It’s quite cool. There’s not a lot of roles for us (females) so I’m chuffed, and it’s a legendary story so that’s even better.”
And she shared her first few scenes with none other than starlet Liv Tyler. Other former Shortland Streeters Guy Parker and Martin Csokas have larger roles in the film.
