Ian Holm has to age from 111 to 170 in order to portray Bilbo Baggins in The Lord Of The Rings trilogy. “I’m in a complete face mask and it’s the most extraordinary make-up I’ve ever, ever seen,” says Holm, 68, who stopped off in Los Angeles for the premiere of his new film Joe Gould’s Secret, on his way back from four weeks in New Zealand.
