It’s now being reported at CES, the Consumer Electronics Show, that The Lord of the Rings DVDs will be released in HD (high-definition).

Few details have been released… but I can only imagine what the LOTR DVDs would look like in high definition. And I’d think they’ll release other extras as well.

I just finished watching the extended edition of The Fellowship of the Ring tonight (on an HD projector), and it still left quite a bit desired, knowing what true HD looks like. This should be SWEET!
