I just got another article from David Hill in New Zealand.
Manawatu people are being invited to try out as extras for Wellington film maker Peter Jackson’s $250 million-plus ‘Lord of the Rings’ trilogy.
The production company Three Foot Six is looking for people aged over 16 and under 5’8″, and people over 16 and taller than 5’10”.
Auditions are being held at the old Palmerston North Boys High School gym on Featherston Street on Saturday and Sunday between 10am and 3pm. People must be prepared for long queues. Applicants will be required to fill in a form and have their photograph taken. Successful applicants will be notified later. People already registered with agencies need not apply. Filming of ‘Lord of the Rings’ starts later this year.
If any of you go to one of these try outs drop us a line and let us know how it went. Thanks.
Peter Jackson sat down for a small featurette to discuss taking The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit into 4k.
