AN EXHIBITION exploring the creative writing, myth making and imaginary lands of author J. R. R. Tolkien is currently creating a stir at Tweeddale Museum, Peebles. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings is perhaps one of the most popular books of the 20th century, and “Land of Shadows” uses this, along with his other well-read work “The Hobbit,” to create a fantastic exhibition. There are lots of things to do and see, including an opportunity to dress up, make rune rubbings, explore the enchanted forest or just relax with a book in the Hobbit House.
A letter from J.R.R. Tolkien to illustrator Doris Sykes will be sold by Hermitage Fine Art Monaco for £15,000 ($25,0000).
