LAST YEAR, 600 people lined up in Oslo for tickets to “The Fellowship of the Ring,” the first of the three fantasy films.
To make the wait a bit more enjoyable this year, Guttorm Pettersen, managing director of Norway’s SF Norge film distributor, is setting up a film-inspired hobbit village in a park near where the movie tickets will be sold. The village includes a tiny inn, several small houses and tepeelike tents.
A letter from J.R.R. Tolkien to illustrator Doris Sykes will be sold by Hermitage Fine Art Monaco for £15,000 ($25,0000).
