It’s a wrap for hobbits, elves and wizards

The Lord of the Rings stars bade farewell to New Zealand after pick-up filming with some serious partying at a Wellington bar.
The filming involved several of the film trilogy’s stars, including Liv Tyler, Viggo Mortensen, Elijah Wood and Sir Ian McKellen. Film spokeswoman Claire Raskind today confirmed that all had now left the country.
“The pick-up shooting has been wrapped and we’re looking forward to August 6, the video and DVD release (of The Fellowship of the Ring),” Ms Raskind said.
“On November 12 will be the extended cut release (also of The Fellowship) and The Two Towers comes out in mid-December.”
Having the stars back in town had been “great” and all had been “thrilled” to be here again, she said. There was the possibility of further pick-up filming for the final movie in JRR Tolkien’s saga, The Return of the King.
