Jude Fisher’s The Two Towers – Visual Companion will hit store shelves in October, but Elvish.org has a sneek peek at two phrases located in the book. An army cry to Sauron in Black Speech, and a soothing phrase to Aragorn’s horse, Brego, in Rohirric. Here they are:
Za dashu snaku Zigur, Durgbu nazgshu, Durgbu dashshu!
– ‘Hail, Sauron, Lord of the Ring, Lord of the Earth’
Stille nú, fæste… Hwæt nemnað ðe?
– ‘Be quiet now, oh fast… What is your name?’
