EA has announced that it has shipped the sequel to the popular real-time strategy game The Battle for Middle-earth, entitled The Battle for Middle-earth II. The standard retail version of the game costs $49.99, and a Limited Edition containing a DVD with a “making-of” documentary, as well as exclusive in-game content, for $59.99.
In addition to the orc and human armies featured in the first game, The Battle for MIiddle-earth II will also include dwarven and elven armies, in addition to a reworked human side that will include defenders of Gondor and horsemen of Gondor. However, if you’d rather fight for the Dark Lord Sauron, you can now control the all-new “goblins and monsters” faction, which includes the hungry spiders of Mirkwood forest and the dwellers of the mines of Moria. The game will also include an all-new hero creation system , which will let players fashion and foster individual leaders of their armies.
