LOTR actor John Rhys-Davies (Gimli/Treebeard) will appear in Seattle on January 17, 2004 for a special event titled “An Evening with Lord of the Rings’ John Rhys-Davies.” Davies will talk about the meaning and the making of The Lord of the Rings films and answer audience questions about his long career. Besides his roles in LOTR, Davies is also known for the characters he played in the Indiana Jones movies and in the science-fiction series “Sliders.” Host for the evening will be film critic Michael Medved. This event is sponsored by Discovery Institute (www.discovery.org), a non-profit public policy organization. The event takes place at 8:00 pm at Town Hall in Seattle, which is at 8th and Seneca.
