The Tale of Lathrawen, Lady of Rohan - Chapter 18- Lathrawen's Final Page

Edoras was so much more lively than the first time I had been there. People were out and about in the streets and, they wore colorful clothing. Something big must have happened, fear weighed down my heart. Legolas, Lomelindi, and I walked up the steps to the Golden Hall. I felt at home in Edoras, like it was were I belonged. We headed inside as the sun grew high in the sky.

Eomer sat in his throne, Lothiriel at his side. In her arms, to my dismay, was a baby boy. "He could have been my son." raced into my mind. It hurt so bad, to look at the beautiful boy. He smiled at me, as if he knew something about me, that welcomed him. He laughed and clapped his hands. I looked up form the baby at Eomer with fire in my eyes. "Why didn't you come?" Legolas put his hand on my shoulder, I looked at Lomelindi who nodded. "Why didn't you wait for me?"

Eomer said nothing, just gave a sorrowful look. What was he going to do? The girl who stole him from me held his son. He put his head in his hands. I looked around the room, and my eyes were drawn to Lothiriel, she had a grin on her face. She gave me an evil look, she looked full of rage; I feared the worse. I decided there was only one place I could go to hide from her, Theodred's room. I ran as fast as I could.

I am hiding in Theodreds room as I write this. I fear this might be the last time I put ink on these beautiful pages. My spirit has been crushed, I do not know how much more failure I can take. I have also seen, so much death, you have read so. As I ponder my fate, I begin to realize what Galadriel said is coming true. I shall fight, and fall for love in Edoras. I shall go now, gladly to my death. I shall fight for those I love. I take my sword to Theodred's tomb with me., what happens next I fear shall not make their way to this tale.

I just hope, that the people in this book shall not be forgotten. I hope, that I shall be remembered for generations to come. These are the last wishes, of Lathrawen.

I have recently found this journal the holds Lathrawen's journey, looking in Theodred's room. Upon reading these pages, I feel her tale should not end the way she ended it. I feel it should be told to the very end, no matter how long it takes. I, Eomer of Rohan, shall complete the tale of Lathrawen.
