The_Elf_From_America_THE_QUEST - Part Ten-The Discussion
"No need, Elise. I'm getting out."
"Ok my child. I've become rather attached to you."
"You are the most delightful prisoner we have had."
"I wont be here much longer."
"It's true. I am leaving soon. I will not stay here."
"I know it seems like we are dolls."
She ran her fingers through her dark hair.
I'll get your robe Elenya."
Elenya stood up from the bath the rose petals still clinging to her body and hair, which was two inches longer. She felt her robe being put over her.
"Thank you Elise."
But when she turned she met eyes not with the handmaiden but with the Prince. She wrapped the robe closer around herself.
"How..how long have you been standing there?"
She walked away into her room and began brushing her hair. She continued brushing the petals out.
"You forgot to close the door."
Elenya walked back into the bathroom and closed the door roughly behind her not allowing the Prince to enter. She slipped the sleeveless dark blue dress laid out for her in the bathroom and fastened a circlet of silver around her head. She opened the door to her room and saw the Prince still inside.
"I thought you would have gone."
"No, no. I was waiting for you."
"Why? What do you want?"
"Your beauty holds me enthralled."
She rolled her eyes and walked past him.
"It's not going to work on me."
He followed her. She walked out into the courtyard looking up at the stars. He came up behind her. She missed Legolas. A tear rolled down her cheek. He knew something was wrong. He could sense it. If he wanted, he could use his magic to seduce her and find out what. He would not do that just yet. He would make her come to him willingly. He had done it with many women. It would work on her as well. He slipped two arms around her waist. He felt her resisting, but would not let go.
"Let me go," she asked.
"It makes me feel uncomfortable."
"Sorry milady. A'maelamin," he took her hands as he continued in elvish though she could not understand a word. "Vanimle sila tiri. Oio naa elealla alasse'. Cormamin lindua ele lle."
"What are you saying?"
"Do you not know? You are an elf," he said touching her tipped ears and stroking her cheek.
She stepped back and began to walk away. He followed her, but she stopped and turned around.
"I only wish to talk with you. Tell me what is your name?"
He stepped closer as she opened her mouth to speak.
"You shall never hear it from my lips."
"You never give up do you?"
"All I wish is to talk."
"Why? You can have any girl in the kingdom to talk with. Why me?"
"Because you are not of my kingdom."
"Is that all?"
"Well that and you are the most beautiful female I have ever seen."
He moved closer to her.
"Oh! Auta miqula orqu!" she lashed out. Go kiss an orc!
"Why don't you wish to talk with me?"
"Because you are a rude, obnoxious, unromantic, unappealing, arrogant, evil tyrant who wouldn't know real love if it bit him in the armpit."
He laughed. She turned away.
"Then what is real love?"
"I have loved more deeply than a killer like yourself could ever dream!"
His eyes flared. But they soon calmed. He smiled and brushed a strand of her hair away from her face.
"I have never had the fortune of coming across a being I wish to be with."
"Your words are not going to work on me."
"I speak the truth."
"I don't care whether you do or not. My will is stronger than yours."
His patience was dwindling.
"All I wish is to hold a conversation not argue."
"I know where all your conversations lead to."
"Is that so?"
"There is nothing you can say to me I wish to hear."
"How do you know that if you have never talked with me?"
She turned embarrassed and fled his eyes. He stepped forward blocking her path.
"Let me pass."
"And where will you go?"
Exasperated, she shoved him out of the way.
"Anywhere to get away from you."
He knew he would have to use his magic to make her stay. Suddenly, she felt an odd feeling. She was thrown back suddenly. She fell against a pillar.
"I didn't want to do that," he said.
"Is that the only way you could think of to make me stay?"
She looked at her bruised shoulder where an old wound was.
"What is that supposed to mean?" he said touching her side and healing the bruise instantly.
"How did you do that?"
"I have a very strong will."
"I don't believe it is stronger than mine."
"Then get passed me."
She closed her eyes. All she could think of to help was Legolas. She pictured images of them in her mind. She did not know what he was doing. He was entering her mind. He saw her with Legolas. He instantly destroyed the image. She came back.
She felt different. She couldn't remember. She leaned against the pillar.
"Is your will stronger than mine?"
"That is not fair."
"I remember Legolas."
"He and I go back to the ages."
"He said you changed."
"That is what happens when one is defeated by an Enemy. All those years ago...."
He drifted off into a thousand memories of his life once back in Mirkwood when he and Legolas were once friends.
"But he would never have understood."
"Bah! It is nothing you can comprehend."
"I wouldn't be to sure about that. If Legolas can understand me, he can understand anybody."
"Never you mind."
She thought of Legolas bringing pictures of them together back into her mind. He closed his eyes and entered her mind once again. She remembered the time Legolas took her upon the mountaintop in Rivendell and watched the sunrise with her. She remembered it was the second time they kissed. He laughed. Elenya came back.
"What? Why did you laugh?"
"Answer the question."
"I have things I need to attend to."
He turned and walked away.
"Did you see me with him? Is that what it is?"
He left her in the courtyard trying to determine what to make of the morning.
