Elenya_Lives - Another Episode to The_Elf_From_America
Legolas has come back into my life. But I cannot help but feel dread and sorrow. Something is approaching. Whether fast or slow I cannot tell. It seems like moving toward an oven. I cannot see the heat, but I feel it bristling against my skin. It becomes so extreme that it is difficult to breathe. The world has changed. The fourth age is long behind us. Leo and I have been together for a few months, and every day he remembers more. Yet with every moment passing by, Middle Earth seems to fade. Time here flies by much quicker. Here I have trouble remembering. The dreams do not help either, and I live in growing fear...
[l]Elenya continued running without any thought to where she was running to. All she knew was that she needed to escape. They were coming, and if she did not run, she would be captured. This place was black. The only light she saw were from fiery torches, which seemed to float in mid air. The sharp stones and rocks hurt her feet, and she could feel sweat trickling from my brow. Her heart was pounding heart, and more than once she wanted so much to give up and simply rest, but she knew she had to keep moving. Her breath quickened, and she seemed to hyperventilate. She would continue to run until she died from exhaustion or until they caught her. Elenya did not look back, but she could hear their screeches and the flap of wings from the winged creatures they rode. Suddenly, a powerful force caused her to stop and drop to her knees. A dark person clothed in black mantles and robes appeared before her. She could see nothing but the faint glimmer of scarlet eyes.
"Welcome home, Elenya," a cold hand brushed across her cheek. "Welcome home."[/l]
Emilie clawed at the bed-sheets and screamed perspiration running down the side of her head as she awoke to reality. Emilie looked around the room for a minute ensuring she was not in a desolate dark wasteland and then broke into tears. Yet they would soon dry.
"Emilie?" Leo opened the door slightly and came to the sight of her wrapped up in her bed crying profusely.
Leo instantly walked into her bedroom and sat by her on the bed gathering his girlfriend in his arms. Emilie pressed against her his chest and let her tears fall. He rustled her hair affectionately and then lifted her chin to his face seeing the redness in her cheeks.
"This is why I wanted to stay here tonight," he explained.
"Thank you," she murmured.
"What was it?" he asked.
"I don't want to talk about it."
"Alright, lets talk about something else," he suggested. "I have a surprise for you. Your parents already know. I guess I should tell you now since we're leaving today."
"What do you mean?"
"I'm taking you to Duluth," he gave a sly grin.
She instantly sat up excited. "The same Duluth where I always go in the summer. The Duluth which has the best milkshake place in the country, where the lake is wide and long as the ocean and beautiful to see, where they have great restaurants near the shore, where you can shop at the quaint little outlet stores, where we can find perfect picture places?!"
"The same one," he smiled.
"Oh Leo! Thank you!" she hugged him again.
"Well, kid, start packing," he stood up.
