Where Are You? - A poem as told by Perigrin Took

Where Are You?
by traz~~

Alone
Stone walls all around me.
Men looking down at me.
Merry, where are you?

Alone
Missing my hometown.
No one to understand
What it's really like.

Memories
Running through the countryside
Playing pranks, then try to hide.
Sunshine on my face.

Bliss
Why must it really end?
Trouble just around the bend
And now it's all around.

Terror
Helpless, watch the noble die.
Captured. Tortured. Can't cry.
Merry, can you hear me?

Wonder
Trees that really talk!
Give us of that Ent draught!
But where is Frodo now?

Curious
Stone from Isengard's fall,
Is it me that you call?
Sleep evades me.

Pain
Held my gaze, choked my words,
Drawn into that crystal world.
Idiotic Fool!

Shame
Separated from my friends.
Fly into the evening wind,
Sleepy dreams of darkness.

Grown
Soldier now in mail clad.
Befriended by a joyful lad.
I've found laughter again.

Madness
Strikes within these walls!
Fire burning in the halls!
But one life has been spared.

Alone
I wonder where you are
In all this madness and despair.
Will we ever meet again?

Alone
Stone walls all around me.
Men looking down at me.
Merry, where are you?
