The truth of all beauty - Not lotr, but i think you'll like it...

Sorrow maim'd the stars that night
As fires set the world alight
And eve in crystal dew was set;
The beauty there 'twas ne'er let
To move the night in foregin hopes;
Of oceans deep and mountain slopes.

In lands afar I pledg'd my life,
To service, war and weary strife,
But ever hoped that on my grave
Would watch the stars, if I was brave
And courage to my heart should speed-
For glory so, this was my need.

And honour, then my friend in war;
Did I forsake, but wish the more
That lain I ture in mortal stance
I swore my oath and took my chance
To shape the world into my eyes-
But life is mortal; too soon it dies.

Should mortal choices be so true
To see the dawn, O! Light adieu,
My love is giv'n to the night
Beyond all choices wrong and right;
The day 'tis spoken of the dawn-
The night belongs to thoes who mourn.

But secrets lov'd thy coaxing hell;
Fires, deeps and demons fell,
To grow the seed of thine heart, you
Would do the same, ere ye knew
Hath set this motion to thy tomb;
But 'twas woken in that gloom
As the blood of kinsmen ran
Think of this- the plight of man.

Just to tell truth, as a word
In lands where lie no flower, bird
As pure as raven, fly!
Fly to death! For glory die
And shrapnel cloud in eve-scent life
Is black and marr'd as silver knife.

Woe and fate befell my fame,
In the night that o'er came
Most sorrow dwelt, and life of dreams
Ere rose the moon, or so it seems
That stars should light the river's path-
Where flowers dance and children laugh.

And paradise! Hath it begone?
Lay me rest whence stars once shone;
And all the war, the death, the world,
Is but a beauty, but unfurl'd;
And so, old sprit, be at peace-
Fate- thy barrow holds thy lease.

So sorrow maim'd the stars that night
As fires set the world alight
And eve in crystal dew was set;
The beauty there 'twas ne'er let
To move the night in foregin hopes;
Rise o'er seas and far off slopes
