The Sea and I - Legolas and the Sea

Why do you call me
Mouth of water
Tempting me
Should I answer and come

As the salty sea air
Blows across my face
I Remember
Remember my father's words to me
As a young elf of 100

"Look to the sea, look to the sea
The pale waves are crashing
Crashing for me
Listen to the sea, listen to the sea
The whote gulls are calling
Calling for me
Look west to the sea
Look west to the sea
See the orange sun dying
Falling
Waiting for me
Go west to the sea, go west to the sea
Feel the cold wind blowing, breezing for me"

I can feel his words
Burning inside of me
Because there is something else
Another lesson I remember
It fights with my fathers words
From the Lady
Of the Golden wood

Oh! Such the beauty
Of Lothlorien
There I sang of leaves
Of leaves of gold
And leaves of gold there grew
She said to me:

"Legolas Greenleaf
Log under tree
In joy thou hast live
Beware the sea
If thou hearest the cry
Of the Gull on the shore
Thy heart shall then rest
In the forest nomore"

There standing
I ponder
At the edge of the water
I stand

A! Elbereth Gilthoniel!
Sprit of life
Guide me
Help me

I start to sing
In the tounge of elves
It reminds me of my home
In Mirkwood with father

A! Elbereth Gilthoniel!
Silveren Penna miriel
O menel aglar eleneth
Gilthoniel, A! Elbereth
We still remember, who we dwell
In this far land beneath the trees
The starlight on the western seas

The last part
In the common toung
makes me think
Think about what lies
At the other side
Of the Western Seas

The Gray Havens
A safe place for elves
Out of reach
Of Sauron
Souron
He I must fight

A slow dawning occurs
I am brave
If the war ends well
The King Elessar
Aragorn, son of Arathorn
Will reclaim his
Right full throne

Teh race of elves will diminish
Men
Will rule all of Middle Earth
The Haven will wait for me then
Namarie, goodbye for now sea
