Gladriel - Gimli's farewell
The dawn doth rise above,
In this place I never knew
I could meet one as fair as you."
"What the arm and what the jewel
That could craft thy essence,
And what the diamond, crafted care
Could try to capture thy queenly stare."
"The light of dawn and the sun of noon
Is set upon thy radiant skin,
I should be, as many here
Shall weep to leave for things thee fear."
"Lady, I should beg of thee
To let me capture thy golden hue,
For, no dwarf has ever made
Any gem alike to you."
And the Lady Galadriel smiled upon him and bade him farewell.
