Ever Changing, Ever Shifting

Moon shines on wavering sea
Glinting soft on meadow and lea
Trees whisper their rustling song
Grass waves and bends down long
Gentle crash of sea on sand
Coming, leaving, foams on land
Breeze of night brushes through
Touching and greeting with deepest blue
On ev'ry rock so black that stands
And ev'ry tree lifting her hands
It is the tune of night we hear
The melody of nature's dear
That song in which the gnomes delight
When day is gone and soft is night
All as one hear nature singing
Song ever changing, ever shifting
