SPOILER Week 1, Days 4-5: Beren's Adventures on the LOTR Blue Screen Set - Company of the Ring: Tol Galen

Beren, webmaster of Company of the Ring: Tol Galen, landed himself a six-week job working on the blue screen unit during the final phase of Lord of the Rings principle photography.

Here is an excerpt of his report about Days Four and Five on the job:

"Now we had orcs all day, three different types. Now there was the goblins, this is what you might call your smaller garden variety orc. God, I hope none of these things live in my garden. Anyway, these guy are from Moria, smallest of the orcs but still bloody ugly little fellows. I think they would still rip your arm off and beat you to death with it if you gave them the chance.

"The second ones are the normal orcs, the type you might find hanging out at Mordor. Larger in stature then goblins, by quite a bit. These guys you wouldn't want to meet while stumbling home after a hard night out on the town.

"The third type was Saruman's guys, the Uruks..."

"... Now, the Uruks scene was a bit different, they had to react to Saruman's speech which was something about Gandalf being dead and the Fellowship having no leader. "
