Lord of the Rings is picked for the Orange Film Awards - UK mobile phone company Orange is running a film of the year awards. Lord of the Rings is one of the options.

On 24 February 2002, you and a guest could be up to your knees in red plush carpet at the Orange British Academy Film Awards at the Odeon, Leicester Square. The prize includes dinner in the West End, overnight accommodation in a London hotel, £200 spending money and transport to and from the awards. If you're not one of the lucky winners, you can still enjoy the show. Its on BBC One on Sunday 24 February. Vote now.

The ten films competing are: American Pie 2, Bridget Jones, Cats and Dogs, Hannibal, Harry Potter, Jurassic Park 3, The Lord of the Rings, Moulin Rouge, The Mummy Returns, Shrek.
