The Hobbit Part 3 Delayed 5 Months, To Release December 17, 2014
Bilbo in The Desolation of SmaugLooks like we'll have an extra 5 months of anticipation for the final film in The Hobbit trilogy--it's been moved from July 18, 2014 to December 17, 2014. Why? In all likelihood it's the next X-Men film, Days of Future Past--it was just announced that that film will be released on July 18, 2014 to directly compete with The Hobbit.
So, Warner Bros. blinked first and decided to move The Hobbit Part 3.
I actually like the idea of the film being released in December--based on the past releases, it's the right time to release a movie set in Middle-earth. What do you think?
