Join Gandalf the Socerer as he leads Bilbo Baggins and his Dwarf companions off on a frightening but magical journey, from which they fear they might never return.

Travel with them through the Misty Mountains, Mirkwood, wind, rain, hail and tremendous thunderstorms on a hunt for the powerful hidden treasure which must be given back to it's rightful owners.

On the way the brave adventurers narrowly escape gourmandising Trolls, vicious Goblins, avaricious wolves, spiteful Giant Spiders and finally the most magnificent deadly dragon of them all, Smaug, the guardian of the treasure.

Tolkein's The Hobbit, probably the best selling fantasy novel ever written, has been adapted for the stage by Glyn Robbins, known for his adaptations of CS Lewis classics including The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

  • The Hobbit, Queen's Theatre Shaftesbury Avenue, W1 (020 7494 5040). Tue 12 Dec-Sat 13 Jan. £10-£32.50.
