Two Towers Gets Tougher Rating in U.K. - Internet Movie DataBase
IMDb reports, "Britain's primary movie censorship body, the Board of Film Classification, has given Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers a 12A ratings certificate, barring any child under the age of twelve from seeing the sequel unless accompanied by an adult. Last year's The Fellowship of the Ring was released with a less restrictive PG certificate. The BBFC also noted that the film clocks in at 50 seconds less than three hours. It is due to open in the U.K. on Dec. 18."
