If you head on over to Gamasutra and check out Chance Thomas's Bio, you will see that there is a listing for an MP3 "From the lost annals of Middle-earth, a game that simply wasn't meant to be. Beginning with the actual voice of J.R.R. Tolkien, here is a brief musical tour that takes you "there and back again". For the discriminating listener, try to pick out these unusual acoustic instruments in the score: Arch Lute (Theorbo), Hurdy-Gurdy, Rebec, Udu, and Viola di Gamba.

The interesting thing is that the Middle-earth Game is still on, and this work might still be used, but if it isn't then this gives you some idea of what was planned and I would love to hear that which is better than this.
