London Museum Exhibit Shares Magic of 'Rings' - Londoners and tourists alike are flocking to see "The Lord of the Rings Motion Picture Trilogy -- The Exhibition" at the Science Museum
The long, wide underground walkway that leads from London's South Kensington tube station to some of the best museums in the British capital these days leads to Middle-earth. Londoners and tourists alike are flocking to see "The Lord of the Rings Motion Picture Trilogy -- The Exhibition" at the Science Museum. "Given the popularity of the books and the films, combined with the quality of the exhibition, we are inundated with people wanting to come," exhibition project manager James Rudoni says. Developed at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa in Wellington, the US$1.2 million display has chosen London as its only European venue, before moving on to Singapore, Boston and Sydney, and is proving to be one of the museum's most popular exhibits ever. Earlier this month, the display attracted no fewer than 20,000 advance bookings, more than any previous exhibit at the museum. Go here to read the full story!
