  1. You can really see how it blows in this picture (Éowyn's hair, Faramir's cloak). It's also coloutful in a nice, sort of silent way.

  4. The architecture and trees in the background look rather Tuscan! My only complaint is that Eowyn should be prettier.

  7. Still love it. Yeah it's a little bright, but that just adds to the charm. It's almost like the two see the world a little differently now.
    Thanks Anke!

  8. This is excellent as always! I love the subtle details and how the hair is positioned in the wind... just wonderful.

  10. Another lovely Faramir and Eowyn by Anke.

Everything is quite well realized from the expressions on the couple's faces to the leaves on the trees and stonework of the city.

As others have said it is a little bright for how I would picture the scene, but a very minor complaint.

I love the dynamic that the windblown hair and cloaks create. Lovely.

  11. I've become a huge fan of Eissmann's work, her Faramir pictures in particular- it's just like how I pictured him from the books. And I love the way he's looking at Eowyn in this one. Her expression is good too- she still seems very unhappy.

  12. That's just perfect. Beautifully melancholy. *sigh* My very favorite scene.... Hopeless romantic that I am. Faramir is wonderful. *grin*. Anke Eissman is amazing!!!

  13. I especially like the way Éowyn's hair swirles in the wind. Looks like tendrils reaching out. Probably for poor unsuspecting Faramir.

  15. That's the best description I can think of to convey the emotion here. Well done Anke.

  16. I think this is a lovely emotional picture. Of course, this particular scene in the book portrayed a totally different image to my mind, but of course everyone has their own aspect. I agree that Eowyn could be a little prettier.

Which raises another question of mine...I've been trying to decide for a while about who is my favourite female character. Who do you think is better, Arwen or Eowyn? (Or Legolas) HA. Just kidding.

  19. Eowyn, hands down.

  20. I love details in Eowyn's mantle (which belonged to Faramir's mom :) ). My only complaint is that Eowyn looks kind of masculine. Her features need a bit of softening.
