wonderful, wonderful picture! where to start... his facial expression is great - a blend of defiance and desperation. the contrast to the jeering faces of the orcs is deeply imressive. a beautiful, yet horrible vision of what fate awaits elves captured by orcs - and a poignant study of how different evil has made them...

That looks painful! It's a great picture, though. Maedhros' expression sems a little too....heroic, maybe, but it's still very good. The Orcs are thoroughly nasty.
