While funny pictures can be great, I think beauty and artistic merit are more appropriate in an art gallery.
I've heard Ted Nasmith has either studiedfor or works as an architect and this probably gives him the ability to visualise cities of Arda in a totally stunning way.

While this is very beautiful, I fail to see how it is an Elvish city. everything I read talk about how Elven architecture conforms to nature and doesn't dominate it. This is a beautiful city, but it looks more like a mans city.

Perhaps it is not quite elvish enough, but this . . . painting, is it? is one of the best I have seen on this site. It must be what ~hisstah~ said: the lighting. It gives me a strange, beautiful feeling of being there.
I rarely feel emotions while looking at pictures on the internet. (Unless they are of Orlando Bloom or the like.)

Yes, I agree with those who refer to it as a bit arabic... The towers have too much of a Aladdin feeling and ultimately fail to look elvish...
Still, the lightning effects and the overall result is simply beautiful. Very good work indeed!
