I have to agree that I cannot picture anyone else in the role. However, I just want to clarify that Stuart Townsend (who was originally cast as Aragorn) did not quit. The reason for his leaving has never been clarified, but the rumor I hear the most is that they didn't think he was right for the part.

This is a nice close-up view of Aragron's face and the expressions. However, most of the picture is too dark and blurry. This scene always gets me near to tears:

it's such a touching scene... hehe, i remember seeing viggo mortensen all cleaned up --without the beard, the grime, dirt and makeup on this one interview... it didn't look like him at all.. i mean granted it was still him, just it doesn't seem like him. he was also in the movie 28 days with sandra bullock... definitely did NOT look as good in there as he did in here... not even remotely close!!

to tell you the truth i hade no clue what lotr was...my uncle forced me to go and see it. i didnt think much of it, but when i came out i was a new converted fan!! i didnt really know boramer but it make me cry to see him in pain and go. hes a great actor

I remember when we were fliming that sene, Sean Bean would not stop laughing! it was annoying, it took like 20 takes to get it right! it was so hillarious!
