It sounded very melancholy. I like it.

Sad & melancholy: for sure (and very well done). However, it is also imbued with a very real mystery. My hope for a proper "feel" of Lorien has just been greatly improved.
Hearing this and the other two snippets made my day. Though my pc speakers are decent, getting this on a real sound system or in the theater will be a treat!

Ok, granted, the horn bit is nice, but what the feck is the idea with the singing? The whole piece sounds like clichéed moslem-culture stuff listened to from behind a closed door. Pwah.

A proper hair on the back of your neck standing up moment. The sorrow and otherworldliness of the Elves shines through.

Ever since i fist heard bout the movie 2 years ago i have been dying for the soundtrack... i am geting it the morning it comes out... I can asume that this must have been a huge task for Howard Shore and i think compared to his other films this one is great... though i still think John Williams should have done this one... lol... Kipper: I'ts not muslamic... it's the art of vocalization... the elves live in their own world in Lorien and in that way it needs to be creepy b/c trespassers are shown no mercy...

Listening to it again i get the sence of Elves stealthily moving from tree to tree... from the companies standpoint... they know that the elves are out there but unsure as to when or how they will meet.... splendid job Shore

I think Howard Shore is amazing. I loved this track. He deserved his Oscar.
