Why, its Kenny Rogers, giving us a rendition of the old classic "I'm a Ruffian and I'm OK".

"Swagger it, swagger it, my little cock-a-whoop."

This is what I hate about the Hildebrandt's style. It is far too cartoonish and comical for my taste. I have never liked this style since I saw their pictures for the Shannara series of books.

This painting has been incorrectly attributed to the Hildebrandts. They did not paint it. I think the artist is Michael Herring.

I LOVE the look on the grey-haired man's face! Wow. I notice that the hobbit with the bow and arrow has the arrow on the wrong side, and some of the other hobbits look like they are smiling too much.

i can't bash a painting like that when i know i couldn't paint it better. and i hate to say a certain style of art sucks when it's all a matter of personal preference...all that aside it took a great deal of talent to do that piece.

Who cares if it not going to be in the movie? The book is better anyway! I don't care what anyone else says, this is one of the most original LOTR painting I've seen yet! I like it!

being a prof. archer myself, i will inform u that the arrow is not on the wrong side do to the fact that the hobbit with the bow can be left or right handed therefore there is no wrong side.
