I don't care what anyone says I love his adaptation, I wish he had finished,,,,
How can anyone expect a low-budget filmaker, with no real backing to produce the masterpice. Bakshi's movie remains better that ever I hoped for...

I remember the excitement it generated in me to hear it was being released. Sure there was some disappointment when the story was only half done, and with some of the stuff he left out or the way he did some of the stuff he left in, but you have got to give the man credit for bringing a masterpiece to the screen at least in part. Bakshi became a part of Tolkien fandom history, and I for one respect him for giving us the images he did.

I know it's only a "2"; but from what i've been told by most people, his photo is better than his movie!

Is that a Joint he is holding?

It sometimes looks a bit silly, but tu sum up it is more like the original book, than the new version.

it is not worth seeing, it is an insult to all Tolkien fans, and anyone else you watches it. I hated it and thought it was definetly a waste of time. And what is that is his hand?

..he was doing drugs while making the movie. :P

This is a good shot of him. I just watched his version of the movie, and I didn't think it was that bad. I found many of the characters cute, and the dialogues and many actions were faithful to the book.

If you need a new dartboard or have pests to scare off.
Radagast, if he didn't have a budget, he should have passed. "If you can't do a job well, levae it to them who can." I especially hated the way he made Sam into a buffoon.
Watch the moon in the scene where Boromir tries to get the ring from Frodo. There is NO excuse for that bouncing moon!
Did the Ringwraiths really SCARE you? They needed help to walk!
I know some people love his "animated" trip, but an overwhelming majority were sickened by it.
(So much for Momma saying, "If you can't say nothing nice, don't..."

I watched that once . . . AND HATED IT!!!! Oh, man! That was even when I was, like, seven, and I HATED it!! Yuck to high heaven! If you have little tots at home, they could watch the cartoon if the motion picture is too freaky for them, but a true LOTR fan does not like the cartoons. Tots MIGHT like it. And last time I checked, Elves weren't little green squashed up things! Oh, man it sucked!!!
